May 4 is the opening day of the next Eurovision Song Contest, which this time will be held in the Ukrainian capital. Representatives of 42 states will appear in the Mariinsky Park of Kiev, but the Russian delegation will not be among them.
However, the fact that Russian Yulia Samoilova was excluded from participation in the competition did not go unnoticed by the organizers of the international competition.
As it became known, both parties will be responsible for the scandal between Russia and Ukraine, which broke out long before the beginning of the competition. The competition organizing committee decided to impose sanctions on both Kiev and Moscow.
The reluctance of the Ukrainian side to make it possible to do everything possible so that all countries participating in Eurovision could be represented in the competitive program. The Russian side, in turn, is to blame for the fact that after Kiev’s refusal to allow Yulia Samoilova to take part in the competition, she did not take part in the obligatory meetings of representatives of the countries participating in the competition.
The editors of uznayvse.ru remind that the Russian side was asked to organize a live broadcast so that they could see Yulia Samoilov at Eurovision on screen. But from this proposal the First Channel is official, as well as from the broadcast of the competition.
