Not so long ago, the Indian authorities banned Russian citizens from issuing long-term visas to reside in India.
Even having built a house in India, a Russian (like another foreigner) will not be able to become its full owner and obtain a residence permit. Not knowing about this, the famous Russian film actor Oscar Kucera built a house for $ 50,000 on the ocean shore in Goa.
The actor himself lovingly designed it, at his request the workers painted the facade of the house in lilac. Kucera managed to order a bed with a mattress of coconut fiber and even wicker furniture.
“Of course, these are not some unrealistic mansions, but living there is very cool,” says Oscar. - You have no idea what a pleasure it is to sleep on a bed with a stone frame on a mattress of coconut chips! - said Oscar.
Now, quite a bit annoyed, Oscar Kucera is forced every month to return to Moscow to get a new permit to enter India.
Buying a home in Goa has become a fashionable trend among the stellar fraternity. However, now after the adoption of the new law, those who wish will surely diminish.
