How to draw your face?
If you do not know how to draw your face, then you should sit down in front of the mirror and get down to business. When you already have the face of a person, then drawing is much more convenient. In art, the artist Frida Kahlo, who was lying in bed all the time because of her illness, had a mirror instead of a ceiling. And she began to paint portraits in oil, looking at her reflection.
In order to start drawing, you will need the following items:
Phased face painting
First you need to find the right lighting. The light should fall on the face smoothly, illuminate all its contours. If daylight is not enough, close the curtains, put two small lamps on either side of the mirror. If you have fluorescent lamps or a chandelier that can create the right lighting, use them.
Sit so that the mirror is strictly opposite to you. At the same time the mirror should not be inclined and hang (stand) perpendicular to the floor.
Carefully examine your face: the shape of the face, eyes, nose, lips, forehead, cheeks, cheekbones. Mark your features that will need to pass in the portrait.
Now let's take a look at how to draw a face in stages. First you need to draw an even oval. After that, divide it into 2 parts by a horizontal line, it is necessary to determine the position of the eyes. Mark with straight lines the location of the nose, eyebrows and lips.
It is necessary to emphasize that the distance from the lower part of the chin to the tip of the nose, as well as from the nose to the eyebrows and to the hair on the head should be the same. In addition, it is worth remembering that all lines should run parallel to each other.
After that, you can start drawing eyes. In this case, the inner and outer corners should be placed slightly at different levels. If you need to make the effect of sadness on the face, then you need to place the outer corners of the eyes just below the inner corners. If you need to draw a face with neutral emotions, then the inner corners should be approximately at the same level with the outer corners. On the marked line we mark for ourselves the level of the height of the outer corners. Then we draw a line in the middle of the face and thus divide our oval into 2 halves.
After that, it is necessary to note 2 small segments of the vertical direction along the bridge of the nose, which is called the distance between the eyes. Both the left and the right part of you should be the same in length, since the face of a person is more or less symmetrical. When measuring the second segment, we postpone the distance from all sides to determine the place of drawing the eyes.
Between the outline of the oval and the eye from the temples you should end up with a free distance. If you could not do this and the eyes began to rest against the oval line, then in this case it will be necessary to reduce the distance between the eyes and the incision of the eyes themselves.
Drawing nose and lips
When the contours of the eyes are ready, you can move on to drawing the lips and nose. Take a look at your nose and mark where you have it much wider. Of course, this place is located near its wings, and if you omit straight vertical lines from the direction of the inner corners of your eyes, then you will be able to determine the location of the nasal wings. It is also worth considering the fact that people's noses are different: for many, they can be large, and others - very small. But most often come across "medium noses", and this suggests that the width will need to be made appropriate.
Before you draw the lips on the face, you will need to mark the line of the outer corners of the lips.We lower straight lines to the bottom, and in such a way that they are the same from the middle of each eye. Only when you draw a nose and lips, you can start drawing eyes, where the iris should not be fully visible. The upper part of the eye needs to be slightly “hidden” under the upper eyelid, and near the bottom it is necessary to draw the lower eyelid. So you need to do with both eyes.
To give naturalness it is useful to add shadows to the face, thereby giving it volume. Highlight shadows cheekbones and temples. You can also highlight the wings of the nose and the skin under the eyes.
